Travel bursaries
To increase participation from low and middle income countries, we offer up to five travel bursaries for early career researchers (i.e., PhD students and researchers up to 6 years post-PhD) from low and middle income countries (see World Bank classification). Travel bursaries will cover accommodation and travel costs of up to 750€.
To apply, send the following documents to digitaldivide@uni-bayreuth.de:
- Letter of motivation of no more than 2 pages, outlining your interest in and experience with the topic (including publications or ongoing research projects), the relevance of the workshop to your career development, and open questions that you feel should be addressed in the workshop
- Statement from your supervisor, department or university administration confirming financial need (e.g., lack of travel budget)
Please note that your application is only complete once you also submitted an abstract for a presentation via the submission system.
Applications for travel bursaries are closed. No further applications will be considered.
Recipients will be selected based on their financial need, relevance of the workshop to their career development, their experience and interest in the workshop topic, and diversity in terms of country of origin.
